Angus first came to the bar in 2010.
Previously, he was employed at the Queensland Crown Law office from 2004 where he worked mainly in the areas of administrative law and judicial review. He also worked in constitutional law, employment, discrimination, and workplace health and safety prosecutions. In 2005, he was seconded to the legal team of the Health Commission of Inquiry, and in 2006 he undertook a secondment to the Department of Premier and Cabinet Law and Justice Policy Unit.
Angus holds the degrees of bachelor of laws and arts, with honours in law, from the Queensland University of Technology where he was awarded the University prize for constitutional law. He is a member of the Bar Association's Administrative Law Committee.
Angus has appeared in a range of Courts and Tribunals, including the High Court of Australia, Queensland Supreme Court and the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Cases that Angus has appeared in include Wotton v State of Queensland (2012) 246 CLR 1, Maloney v R (2013) 298 ALR 308, Wainohu v State of New South Wales (2011) 243 CLR 181, Attorney-General (Qld) v Fardon  QCA 155, and Nona v Barnes  QCA 346.
