Eleanor Lynch
Eleanor was called to the Bar in 2022. She practices predominantly in public law, particularly in criminal, regulatory and administrative law. Eleanor has particular experience in inquiries, including appearing as Junior Counsel Assisting in the Board of Inquiry into the Criminal Justice System in the Australian Capital Territory in 2023.
Prior to joining the Bar, Eleanor was a senior legal officer with the Commission of Inquiry into Forensic DNA Testing in Queensland. Eleanor also practiced as a solicitor in criminal and regulatory law at Gilshenan & Luton Legal Practice. She has experience acting for government departments and private individuals in matters involving professional misconduct, criminal law, white collar crime, regulatory investigations and prosecutions, work health and safety litigation and workplace law, inquests and commissions of inquiry.
Eleanor also worked as a policy officer at the Department of Premier and Cabinet, on the Queensland Parole System Review in 2016, and as a Judge’s Associate at the District Court of Queensland.
