Michael has been practising at the private Bar since 2011. Before being called to the Bar, Michael practiced as a commercial litigator in a top-tier firm and was an associate to Justice Collier of the Federal Court of Australia.

His practice is focussed on the efficient resolution of all kinds of complex commercial disputes but with a particular focus on the areas of commercial disputes, insolvency, defamation, property disputes, body corporate, building and construction, and appellate. Michael is also often engaged as a mediator. In 2024, Michael was appointed Adjunct Professor with the Griffith Law School.
